Color Swatches

Intro
A couple of weeks ago I went to the beach and my friends and I went on a boat ride. We decided to stay on the water for the sunset and I am glad we did because the sunset was magnificent. I took a picture of it and decided to use it as inspiration for my color swatches. I love all the different colors that shined through the image.

Inspiration

Color Swatches
I decided to use the blue, yellow, and pink color for my color swatches. For the extra tints of each hue I tinted the colors to 75% and 50%. I personally love the colors when they were tinted to 50%. Creating these color swatches helped me understand how InDesgin works to help line everything up and make everything equal.

Name Plates
After reading Become A Master Design: Limit your fonts, Become A Master Design: Limit your colors, Become A Master Design: Contrast, Contrast, Contrast, I learned how to create my name plates so they were appeasing to the eye of the audience. I think the last name plate is the most appeasing to the eye.

Conclusion
I really enjoyed creating color swatches and name plates. It was fun playing around with all the different colors and tints. Creating the name plates was interesting because it helped me understand how contrast works. I will definitely use the skills I learned doing this project for my magazine story.

Thanks for reading :)
